Fiber & Tactile Artist

Trace-Ace Borgnetta

Trace-Ace was raised in a small town in the Okanagan into a multi-cultural home of indigenous Interior Salish and Italian heritage. Trace-Ace was brought up with great appreciation for nature. The use of natural items and fibers is a conscious decision to align with her personal belief to tread lightly on mother nature. She currently resides on the Unceded Coast Salish Territory/Vancouver, B.C.

“I am inspired by the natural world, and often incorporate elements of flora and fauna into my designs. I am drawn to the tactile nature of these methods, and enjoy exploring the ways in which different fibers can be manipulated and combined to create intricate and beautiful designs. Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to create work that is not only visually stunning, but also carries a deeper meaning and connection to ones self. Through my art, I hope to inspire others to connect with their own heritage and cultural roots, and to appreciate the beauty and diversity of the world around us.”
